FTP (File Trasfer Protocol) is a network protocol that allows a host to trasfer files to another one through a TCP network. It’s a widely adopted standard and it can be used to upload websites and perform backups. Uranium Backup includes a powerful FTP client and I’m going to explain how to use it.
To open the FTP client, go on the dropdown menu Tools and click on FTP Client.

You will be presented with a windows like the one below. To open the Create FTP profile window, press the right button of the mouse in the left area and select New FTP site or click the highlighted button.

Now it’s time to configure the FTP address and access credentials. Then click on Apply.

You will find the new FTP profiles in the list on the left area.

Double click on the profile and Uranium will connect to the FTP server.

It’s possible to simply drag and drop files/folders to transfer them between the local PC and the server.
That’all for now. Protect your data, no matter what!

Thanks for your explanation. I found this integrated FTP client very interesting. Although it is a bit minimal (only the main FTP features are implemented), in most cases it is enough to quickly transfer files and folders (upload and download) or to explore an FTP space where you backed up your files.
Yes, it’s minimal. The goal is to provide the FTP support for backup tasks and help web developers in their daily activities.
If you have to manage several FTP servers, I suggest you FileZilla, an open source and powerful FTP client.
