Intel announced the refresh of the SSD 311 caching drive about a month ago. Today the SSD 313 appeared on the company’s website, scheduled for release for Q1 2012.
Anyway don’t get too excited, the SSD 313 is equipped with the same controller of the previous version. The only differences are the firmware and the new 25nm NAND flash memories.
There is no much difference between the old and the current generation. We only have a new 24GB version. I expected something more from a company like Intel, anyway it’s a decent drive for caching purposes.
