As pointed out by Anand, reliability is what matter now. If the Octane proves to be a bug-free solution, it will be a compelling alternative to the Crucial m4, our suggested SSD.
It’s impressive to see how OCZ succeeded in building a competitive product within an aggressive time-to-market. The market of SSD solutions is getting really interesting. It’s not easy to choose with so many strong performers. The price is going down although the die shrink of NAND memories has some reliability issues.
We’re happy to see how the market is evolving. Technology competition is always a good for consumers!
