WD release 2TB portable drive

WD My PassportWestern Digital announced yesterday the release of the biggest portable drive ever produced: the My Passport 2TB. It features a 2.5″ HD, a little thicker than the ones we usually see in our laptops, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity. It weighs only 230 grams and so it’s really easy to transport.

It’s a very useful product for people looking for a massive portable storage solution. Moreover, the manufacturer ships it with a backup solution, WD Smartware. Of course, hardware encryption is supported.

The My Passport is already available from the WD Store, it costs 249 dollars. The price seems reasonable considering both capacity and portability. My verdict is buy it if you need 2 portable TBs.
